To mark World TB Day, we created a six-part video series in which ERA4TB researchers share insights into their work, the challenges facing TB research, and their hopes for the future.

Although TB is both preventable and treatable, it continues to affect millions of people worldwide each year. Through initiatives like ERA4TB, we are working to accelerate the development of new, effective treatments and bring us closer to ending TB.

Across the series, contributors reflect on questions such as:

  • What is your role within ERA4TB?
  • What are ERA4TB’s biggest achievements to date?
  • What is the biggest challenge in developing new TB treatments today?
  • Why does TB remain a global health threat in 2026?
  • What advice would you give to early-career researchers entering the TB field?
  • As ERA4TB approaches the final phase of the project, what are your hopes for the future of its research?

As we mark World TB Day, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing innovation, strengthening partnerships, and driving progress towards a world free of TB.

Watch the full series to discover the science, people, and impact behind ERA4TB.
